Moto Guzzi Griso

Dato che l'Europa è, in termini generali, più piccola dell'Australia, mi chiedevo che tipo di distanze le persone hanno registrato sui loro Grisos?

Sto invecchiando ora, 70 in un paio d'anni, e non guido tanto quanto una volta, ma il mio primo 8V, che ho comprato nuovo nel 2008, è fino a 150.000 km e il mio secondo è fino a circa 55.000 km di cui circa 30.000 erano con me in sella.

Entrambi sono stati stupidamente affidabili, a parte il fiasco del tappet piatto che rivendicava la manovella nel mio 2008, (Sordinato scivolando in un motore a rulli di un 2012.) Il secondo è un 2010 e la prima cosa che ho fatto è stata rollerise.

Entrambe sono macchine "chiavi in mano" su cui sarei felice di saltare per attraversare il continente domani. Come si confronta con le tue bici in Italia? Sono solo curioso.....

I'm getting old now, 70 in a couple of years, and don't ride as much as I used to but my first 8V, which I bought new in 2008, is up to 150,000km and my second is up to about 55,000Km of which about 30,000 were with me in the saddle.

Both have been stupidly reliable, apart from the flat tappet fiasco claiming the crank in my 2008, (Sorted by slipping in a roller motor from a 2012.) The second one is a 2010 and the first thing I did was rollerise it.

Both are 'Turn Key' machines which I would happily jump on to ride across the continent tomorrow. How does that compare to your bikes in Italy? Just curious.....

Usually my rides are between 200 and 500 kilometers for a single-day ride.
Further i use it to go at the office but only 4/5 times per month, few kilometers.

It's not common for me riding a bike for more than a day, sometimes i stay out for at least a weekend, but very, very rarely.

My previous bike was sold with 80k kilometers on the odo, my griso had 10800kms when i picked up it in november, now i'm at 15500.

My 8v is now km.96000

So what, on the higher distance bikes, are people finding are the most likely sources of problems? Obviously with the 8V's there is the flat tappet fiasco but other than that the main things I encounter are swingarm, shock linkage bearings rusting out due to lack of grease and the sump spacer gasket blowing out around the main front delivery gallery to the block. Then on the 8V's there is the issue of the fragility of the throttlebodies, compounded by the fact people over fill their sumps with oil and neglect to ensure that the drain hoses from the airbox are attatched, unbroken and plugged.

Quindi cosa, sulle biciclette a distanza più alta, le persone trovano le fonti più probabili di problemi? Ovviamente con gli 8V c'è il fiasco del razzo piatto, ma a parte questo le cose principali che incontro sono l'altalena, i cuscinetti del collegamento d'urto che arrugginiscono a causa della mancanza di grasso e la guarnizione del distanziatore del pozzetto che soffia intorno alla galleria di consegna anteriore principale al blocco. Poi sugli 8V c'è la questione della fragilità dei corpi farfallati, aggravata dal fatto che le persone riempiono troppo i loro pozzetti di olio e trascurano di garantire che i tubi di scarico dell'airbox siano attaccati, ininterrotti e tappati.

Mate! I live in one of the driest parts on the driest inhabited continent on earth! Believe me. It's a problem. Few people look though.
